RomsSoft Ramnicu-Valcea, a provider of IT services, wants toboost its turnover by 33% this year, to 20m euros, from 15m euroslast year, and expand on European markets. "2009 was a difficultyear, but we ended it in the black and without any layoffs. Wereached our turnover target, but not the income one, which wasbelow our expectations," Claudia Ursateanu, general manager andsole shareholder in RomSoft, told ZF. She stated RomSoft would thisyear focus on projects with the state and that it wanted to expandon European markets. According to Ursateanu, RomSoft was "luckier"than other companies in the same field last year because it had twoto three-year contracts and thus managed to stay afloat. However,the company in 2009 registered losses tied to the exchange rate,considering it had to pay its foreign supplier in 30 days, butreceived money from some clients even in 300 days. Last year, thestate reacted better than the private environment as regardsreceipts, maintained Ursaseanu. She stated she got three bids fromforeign investors last year, which she declined.
