Ursus Breweries' top people are in charge of brands with 300m-euro sales

Timişoreana, one of the oldest Romanian beer brands, with salesZF puts at 150m euros annually, is currently in the hands of threeexpats and two Romanians, the people making up Ursus Breweries'management team.


Executive turnover has been the top issue at the brewer, themore so as this year started with the decision of Stephan MariaWeber of leaving the domestic operations of SABMiller.
In June, the company's reins were taken by Gary Whitlie, born inthe UK. He has been working with SABMiller for 26 years.
Another change was related to the position of sales anddistribution vice-president, filled starting September 2010 byVictor Armaşelu, 39. Another member part of the company'smanagement is Grant McKenzie, 36, marketing vice-president sinceMarch 2009.
The company's management team is complemented by KrzysztofAndrzejewski, financial vice-president, and by Cristian Popescu, HRvice-president.
SABMiller's sales in Romania stood at 1.2 billion RON (284.2million euros) in fiscal 2009, down over 12% in euros.
