On the RASDAQ market, there are currently around 1,340 listedcompanies, but 94% of the market transactions involved 100 stocksin the first ten months of the year.
The overall value of RASDAQ transactions was 565 million RONbetween January and October, with the trading volume of the top 100most liquid companies amounting to 532 million RON. Out of the 100top companies, less than half were involved in at least onetransaction per day on average, with the rest being traded onlyoccasionally.
Many companies made it into the ranking thanks to a singletransaction, which led to significant shareholding changes. Theyinclude almost unknown companies such as Concordia A4 (COLI) andToneli Nutrition Titu (COTU), which were the target of majortransactions this year.
These transactions show that the RASDAQ market has a stock of asyet undiscovered companies, but which could at one point be thetarget of major transactions, and which the Stock Exchange riskslosing unless it clarifies the status of this market soon.
On the other hand, investors' interest in the RASDAQ market hasfaded significantly in the last two years, with the market goingfrom transactions of over 1 billion euros in 2007 to 135 millioneuros in the first ten months of this year.
