Spanish electricity group Union Fenosa will enter a 15.3 million-euro contract in order to develop a commercial management IT system at three branches of the Electrica company, sources close to the deal told Ziarul Financiar. The specialised company of the Spanish group, Soluziona SA, will implement the new IT system, Open, at the Muntenia Nord, Transilvania Sud and Transilvania Nord branches. Union Fenosa, Spain's third leading energy group, participated in the first stage of the privatisation of Electrica Oltenia and Electrica Moldova but went no further. Despite not being successful in that endeavour, the Spanish company still remains interested in doing business with the Romanian electricity distributor. ZF
