Law firm Leaua & Asociaţii (Leaua & Partners), run byCrenguţa Leaua and Aurora Damcali posted a 93% turnover increaselast year, to 5.3 million euros, which could see the firm propelledinto the top ten of law firms by revenues, according to ZFestimates.
In 2009, top-ten law firms had turnovers of at least four millioneuros, according to ZF data, with some of these firms recordingrevenue declines.
"We did not target this growth. We responded to client demand,"said Crenguţa Leaua, managing partner of Leaua şi Asociaţii, whichassists clients such as Israeli group Elbit, owner of Radisson Bluhotel in Bucharest and Industrialexport, developer of Tower Centeroffice building in Piaţa Victoriei (Victory Square).
The firm provides legal services in matters of arbitration andlitigation, but has also developed its consultancy practicelately.
The team consists of 21 lawyers, with productivity per lawyeramounting to over 250,000 euros last year, one of the biggest onthe legal market, with lawyers in top firms generally bringing lawfirms revenues of 150,000-200,000 euros per year.
