Aquila Group, the third largest distributor on the consumer goods market, could derive turnover worth 580 million-RON (over 156 million-euro) this year, which excludes sales made by subsidiaries set up on neighbouring markets. "We estimate an organic growth for the consolidated turnover, by 16% in 2008 against last year," said Ileana Costanda, marketing manager of Aquila Group. Turnovers posted by Aquila Part Prod Com and Seca Distribution, the group's companies present in Romania, reached 500 million RON (almost 150 million euros) last year, up by over 12% against 2006, according to information provided by Ileana Costanda. The two Aquila subsidiaries on foreign markets are Trigor AVD, a company set up in 2001 in the Republic of Moldova, and Standard AVD, based in Serbia, which was established in 2003, whose 2007 turnovers are yet to be revealed.
