AutoItalia eyes 10% growth

28.10.2003, 00:00 10

AutoItalia group, general importer of Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Maserati and Ssang Yong in Romania, sold some 1,800 vehicles in the first nine months of the year, up more than 10% from the year-ago period, according to the Association of Romanian Carmakers and Importers (APIA). However, the two categories of autos sold by the group posted different trends. Thus, Fiat commercial vehicles sold more than 1,000 units in the above-mentioned period, up over 40% from last year. At the same time, the sales of both Fiat and Alfa Romeo automobiles have dropped since last year. AutoItalia estimates to sell 2,600 automobiles this year, up 10% as compared to 2002. ZF
