Bank chairman sells 5,000-euro bicycles

Emilian Bituleanu, chairman of Libra Bank, a small lender,will bring bicycles in Romania, with price tags as high as 22,000RON (5,400 euros) through Mos Ion Roata company that he and hiswife own.
"We set out to bring about 500 bicycles from almost the entireFelt Bicycles range on the market this year," the company officialssay.
The bicycles will cost 1,100 RON (270 euros) to 22,000 RON(5,400 euros) and the total investment in the showroom in Bucharestwill amount to some 100,000 euros. "It also includes a coffee shopand we intend it to also be a starting point for short bicycletrips for families in Bucharest." The two entrepreneurs are alsoconsidering expansion of the store to several cities across thecountry, as well as distribution to dealers.

Emilian Bituleanu, 49, has been working for Libra Bank since2004, when he was appointed vice-president. Before that, he hadworked as vice-president at Finans Bank and credit managementdeputy director at Bancorex.
