Bentley sales on the Romanian market have been taken over itscentre in Austria, with the luxury car segment continuing to see asignificant decline in 2010, and Porsche Romania now being just asales agent of the brand, not an importer. The British brand,initially launched on the Romanian market in the first part of2008, becomes the first luxury brand to leave amid the heavydecline of the Romanian car market, which has shrunk by over 70% intwo years.
"Porsche Holding made the decision to move sales of the Bentleybrand from Romania to Austria until the inauguration of the newshowroom and servicing centre in the Pipera 2 centre. We will stillbe advising clients who come to us, but the sales will be donethrough our colleagues in Vienna," said Adrian Pascu, brand managerof Porsche, Bentley and Lamborghini brands within Porsche Romania.
Last year saw three Bentleys registered on the Romanian market,according to Police records, down 75% on the previous year.
