Bouygues, one of the largest construction companies on the Romanian market, has rented a 1,000 square metre building in the Sala Palatului area of Bucharest, announced CB Richard Ellis, a real estate company and the broker in the deal. Company representatives gave no details as to the value of the deal, but considering an average monthly price of 16 euros per square metre and a 5-7-year duration for the contract, the deal is likely to be worth something in the region of 1.3 million euros. The Bouygues group of firms has been present on the Romanian market for several years and has worked on a series of large projects, including the Bucharest-Constanta highway, Justice Palace, World Trade Center, French Village and the Novotel hotel belonging to the Accor group. Bouygues also controls the third largest mobile operator and the main private TV station in France. Bucharest has enjoyed an increase in office rental deals lately owing to increased company activities specific to the autumn period. ZF
