Brailact starts exports and production under retailers' private labels

Yannis Mythis, general manager of Brailact Brăila, one of thelargest dairy producers that last year entered insolvency,maintains that whereas in 2009 the company's strategy envisagedcost reductions, starting this year its management is mainlytargeting the company's development domestically, but not onlythat.


Thus, Brailact's main goals for 2010 are to expand distributiondomestically, boost exports and launch new products.
Brailact has entered Kaufland store chain this year, with which itstarted regional collaboration for the southeastern area of thecountry, and is getting ready to start production for severalprivate labels of modern retailers present domestically.
Brailact's current strategy does not entail only boosting domesticsales, but also exports, both to EU countries and on othercontinents. The Brăila-based producer wants its exports to generate20% of sales in the next three years.
In the wake of 2009 restructuring steps and of plans to develop thecompany, Mythis maintains its reorganisation plan to exitinsolvency has been approved by creditors and is also due to getthe syndic judge's approval in September.
