BRD Securities drops 10 places in brokers' ranking

BRD Securities, the brokerage arm of BRD - Societe Generale, dropped 10 places in the ranking of brokerage companies in August against July, after its general manager, chief analyst and other employees moved to CA IB Securities in July. BRD Securities ranked 15th among brokers in August, with total transaction volume worth some 9.3 million euros, less than half the amount seen in the previous month. The company's chairman, Liviu Giugiumica, and the chief analyst, Adriana Marin left BRD Securities in July, and the company is still looking for solutions to replace them. Company representatives did not wish to make any comments. CA IB Securities climbed to 9th position in August, with transaction volumes worth over 11 million euros, up five places from 14th since July. In the cumulated ranking for the first eight months of the year, BRD Securities came out third, with transaction volumes worth a total of almost 200 million euros, while CA IB Securities occupies 9th position, with transactions worth some 109 million euros. August saw the return of Raiffeisen Capital & Investments to the top spot in the brokers' ranking, with volumes worth 28.3 million euros, followed by ING Securities, whose transactions stood at 24 million euros.
