Cargill Silozuri operates 3.4m-euro share capital increase

Cargill Silozuri (Cargill Silos), a company controlled by American group Cargill, will increase its share capital by 12.2 million RON (3.4 million euros), to 14.2 million RON, according to an announcement sent to the RASDAQ market. The move was approved by the General Meeting of Shareholders on March 26 and will be completed by issuing 122.2 million shares with a nominal value of 0.1 RON. The company's main shareholder is Cargill Agricultura (Cargill Agriculture) holding an 87.3% stake of the shares. The existing shareholders have a preference right to the share increase, which is proportional to the shares they own. The GM also decided to appoint Mircea Dorel Vlasceanu, Octavian Cretu and Martin Schuldt as directors of the company. The American group Cargill operates on the Romanian market through a series of companies that include Cargill Agricultura (Cargill Agriculture) involved in trading cereals, seeds and fodder, Cargill Oils, which produces oil and refined fats, Cargill Silozuri that acts as a go-between and is involved in trading farming raw materials, livestock, raw materials for textiles etc., and Cargill Cereale (Cargill Cereals), which provides farming-related services and landscape gardening.
