Steso Grup, the company that opened its first store dedicated to children's clothing and accessories, Kariok in April, following an 80,000-euro investment, has budgeted a 200,000-euro turnover in its first year because of high demand. "In the first three weeks since opening, we posted sales worth 3,500 euros, 70% of which were accounted for by clothing, 20% by footwear and 10% by products dedicated to small children (strollers, baby walkers, infants seats, feeding bottles, toys etc). We have already placed orders worth 50,000 euros with our suppliers, leading us to forecast an at least 200,000-euro turnover for this year," Steluta Bigu, a shareholder of Steso Grup, told ZF. The development plan of the company, which also sells Pierre Cardin-branded strollers, includes the opening of another two Kariok stores by the end of 2009 in two of the malls in Bucharest and Craiova.
