The City Grill - Caru' cu Bere group has taken over the two Crem Cafe coffee shops located in Piata Romana and Piata Universitatii, and intends to turn them into a City Grill restaurant (Piata Romana) and a City Cafe coffee shop (in Piata Universitatii). "Thanks to this takeover, the number of City Grill restaurants and coffee shops will reach 12 by the end of April," said Dragos Petrescu, executive manager of the group. The City Grill network, which entered the market in 1994, currently operates eight restaurants, six of which are City Grill restaurants, the Caru' cu Bere restaurant and a restaurant opened under the Bongiorno brand, as well as two City Cafe coffee shops. "Following the takeover of the two Crem Cafe coffee shops the City Grill group has secured coverage of the whole central area of Bucharest, according to our plans to be present in all the important areas of Bucharest and to be perceived by our clients as a premium brand," says Petrescu.
