Rehau Romania, a manufacturer of construction supplies, has completed a 2.5 million euro investment in new headquarters in Cluj.
The building comprises both office space and a warehouse that take up a total of 2,150 sqm. Rehau has been operating on the regional market since 1998, when it opened a representative office in Cluj that turned into a sales office in 2000.
a??We are currently running a network of over 150 Transilvanian customers from Arad. We have developed a partnership with them, so that the new sales office was built in co-operation with our customers, using Rehau solutions exclusively,a?? Varga Bela, the head of the sales office in Cluj said. According to the companya??s officials, the area serviced by the office in Cluj accounts for 40% of Rehaua??s total sales.
Thus far, Rehau has invested upwards of 13 million euros, and employs 136 people at 6 locations throughout the country. It has two representative offices in Constanta and Timisoara, sales and logistics offices in Tunari (Ilfov), Bacau, Apahida (Cluj) and a tube factory in Cisnadie (Sibiu).

The company in 2004 made over 27 million euro turnover, approximately one quarter of which derived from exports directed to such countries as Hungary, Slovakia, Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova.
The companya??s officials predict a 20% growth pace for this year compared with 2004.
The company has seen a fast growth pace on the PVC and polyethylene tubes and windows market, with the figures projected for 2005 being twice higher than in 2003. transilvania@zf.ro
