Romania has just made it out of the crisis and the prices havealready gone up on the market of construction supplies, consideringthe raw material costs rose and manufacturers want to preservetheir margins at least at the same level as last year.
The most spectacular increase was that of reinforcing steel, whichbecame up to 40% more expensive, yet construction materialsdistributors say this is normal at the beginning of the year andprices will go down towards mid year.
Local producers of such construction materials as adhesives,polystyrene, polyurethane foam say that they will raise the pricesof their products by up to 10-11% considering they are coping witha hike in raw material prices.
On the other hand, the ceramic tiling manufacturers say they willnot raise their prices in 2011, after the VAT increase of last yearis already showing in the price of such products.
