Consultancy was last year's best-paid job in Bucharest

The highest income earned in Bucharest last year was derived by someone working in business and management consulting. The record salary - 2.47 million RON (about 743,000 euros), was registered in sector 1, according to the data provided by Public Finance General Directorate of Bucharest.
The second-highest earner was a taxpayer working in the same business, but based in sector 2, whose income amounted to more than 615,000 euros.
Someone in sector 4, who makes automated data processing machines, received an annual income worth around 412,000 euros.
Fourth and fifth in the ranking were taxpayers who work in building construction and civil engineering (sector 2) and insurance supervision (sector 1), whose incomes stood at 377,000 euros and 376,000 euros.
An income worth almost 371,000 euros was also registered in sector 1, from someone who works in quality assurance, as well was an over 345,000 euro salary from insurance supervision. Aeronautics technology put sector 6 among top ten salaries, in eighth position with an annual income of 338,000 euros. Next in the ranking is someone who works in the insurance supervision industry, based in sector 1, who made more than 321,000 euros last year.
Tenth in the ranking was a person who works in the soap, detergent and care products industry, from sector 2. The data from the Public Finance General Directorate in Bucharest includes information on the five highest salary-earners of all six sectors of the capital and information on the 30 highest-paid people in the city.
Consultants make up most of the positions in the ranking of highest paid professions.
Judging from the information at hand, four people in the ranking work in consultancy, three in insurance supervisions (sector 1), whilst two work for the National Securities Commission (sector 3).
The top 20 best-paid individuals includes mainly people from sectors 1 to 4, with only one person from sector 6, who works in the aeronautics industry, and no one from sector 5. Non-ferrous metal industry ranks eleventh, with one 207,000-euro income registered in sector 4. Next in the ranking is pharmaceutical wholesaler, with an annual salary of about 192,000 euros (sector 2).Architecture generated an annual income of over 183,000 euros for a person based in sector 2, who stood at number thirteen in the ranking.
Comparable incomes were reported for and rental fields, 175,000 euros (sector 4), and 172,000 euros (sector 3).
An individual based in sector 4 earned almost 161,000 euros from the transport business, and ranks sixteenth. Development, production and supply of software programmes allowed an individual to earn an annual salary of about 158,000 euros (sector 4), slightly more than the income derived from building construction and electrical installation work (sector 3), which stood at 157,000 euros. A taxpayer working in business and management consultancy, based in sector 3, reported around 145,000 euros in income.
At the bottom of the ranking was someone who works for the National Securities Commission (CNVM) in sector 3, whose annual income stood at almost 133,000 euros.
