Lia Manoliu or Basarab overpass are projects that should befinalised in the coming months, while Medgidia-Constanta highway isexpected for next summer. There are some other long-term projects,such as Transylvania highway or Transalpina rehabilitation, butthere are very few projects pending for builders, so that 2011seems a new year in the red, reads Business Construct.
Next years' big contracts should come from the same field ofinfrastructure, where around 300 km of highways and city rings arein the under construction.
The biggest infrastructure project underway is being handled byUS Bechtel, which is working on the Campia Turzii-Gilau and Suplacude Barcau-Bors sections of Transylvania highway, while the secondimportant highway project being carried out, Moara Vlasiei Ploiestiis shared by PA&CO International, Euro Construct Trading '98,Spedition UMB and Com-Axa domestic firms.
