Debt collection company Urban si Asociatii (Urban and Partners) has submitted the necessary papers required to join the Federation of European National Collection Association. The request is to be put forward for debate to the members of the association by the chairman of FENCA, Kornel Tinguely. "Until now, it has not been possible for a debt collection company in Romania to join this European association, because European legal provisions did not apply, as we did not have the status of an EU member state," stated representatives of Urban si Asociatii. Last year, the company derived a 1.8 million-euro turnover, up 125% on the previous year, while the number of clients increased by 500%. The company's majority shareholder is the US-based Urban Credit Management, which controls around 90% of the share capital. The remaining shareholders are Viorel and Iulian Urban, each holding 5% of the shares.
