Low-cost airline easyJet, which on September 10 introduced its first flight on the Romanian market on the Bucharest-Milan route, inaugurated two new flights on Monday, which depart from the Otopeni airport to London and Madrid Barajas. "In the future, we intend to expand and turn Romania into a key market for easyJet. This year, we will not introduce any more flights, but for next year, we are examining new routes, both from Bucharest and from other cities in Romania," said Peter Voets, marketing manager of easyJet for Austria, Switzerland and Eastern Europe. Flights to London are operated on a daily basis, while flights to Madrid will be operated four times a week. Ticket prices start from 73 euros for a return ticket, and from 55.98 euros for flights to Madrid, all taxes included, according to company representatives. easyJet estimates it will transport 255,000 passengers in its first year on the Romanian market, given an approximately 80% occupancy rate.
