Eurisko: Primaverii, the most expensive district

08.05.2006, 00:00 8

The emergence of residential areas outside the city has hardly reduced the interest in the Aviatorilor-Primaverii area. Moreover, prices saw a permanent increase and the fact that plots of land available for construction lacked caused the price of a square metre in the Primaverii area to stand at over 2,100 euros last year, according to a study of the real estate company Eurisko. Prices of homes in the Aviatorilor-Primaverii area skyrocketed last year, reaching 2,150 euros per square metre (excluding VAT), against an average value of 1,580 euros per square metre. To give you an idea of what this means, one square metre in flats in the blocks of flats from districts such as Dristor or Sudului costs somewhere around 1,000 euros. The almost 40% growth pace of the sale price in the Primaverii area is the highest seen after 2002, according to the study, and this happened as plots of land available for development are practically non-existent. The area is preferred due to the high degree of security it provides and to quality buildings, as well as to the green space (Herastrau Park) it hosts. Then there are also the luxury clubs and restaurants that can be found here and the fact that it currently accommodates many official and diplomatic residences. ZF
