Ford Romania, the second leading carmaker on the local market,will hire more than 100 people for its new National Sales Companyset to take over the import of the brand from Tiriac Holdings'Romcar on the 1st of August. This was an over 200 million-eurobusiness last year.
"Ads advertising jobs at the National Sales Company will bepublished over the coming month. The company will take over theentire sales and servicing network responsibilities in August2010," said Paul Flanagan, managing director of the National SalesCompany of Ford in Romania.
Ford is unfreezing the job market in the automotive industry,after 10% of the car dealers closed up shop in 2009, whileimporters laid off up to 30% of their staff.
The company that will control marketing and sales, as well asFord's sales of parts and after-sales operations on the domesticmarket, will not take over the 90 employees of Romcar, most of whomwill go to other automotive companies of the Tiriac Holding.
