Greece's Alumil wants to build another plant

Alumil Greek aluminium trim producer, which owns a subsidiary inRomania, Alumil-Rom Industry (ALU), plans to boost production inRomania once the economy stabilises by building a new plant whoseproduction should be exported to countries in the region. One ofthe locations currently considered is Oradea, at the Hungarianborder.

"We want to relocate our operations to the areas where we feelwe have a strategic advantage. We have already closed Czechoperations and this market is currently covered by Greekproduction. In Romania, we have a well consolidated business andworkforce costs are low," says George Milonas, owners and generalmanager of Alumil group.
Alumil already owns a plant in Bucharest and has recently expandedits operations to Filipeştii de Pădure, Prahova, where it plans toinvest 5.8m euros in a production facility, a warehouse and alogistics centre.
Alumil's current production is now almost entirely sold on thedomestic market, particularly the construction sector.
