Head of Prospecţiuni expects 30% of revenues to come from exports

Gehrig Schultz, the American appointed by Ovidiu Tender to thehelm of geological prospecting company Prospecţiuni Bucureşti(PRSN), says efforts made over the last two years by the managementteam to expand the company internationally will start to pay thisyear, and expects the company's international operations tocontribute 30-40% to the company's revenues in 2011.
The company posted a 53 million-euro turnover in 2009, but in thefirst nine months of last year, revenues fell 30%.
According to the head of Prospecţiuni, last year only 10% ofProspecţiuni's turnover was generated by external contracts.
The biggest works that the prospecting company will carry out thisyear on the external markets are in Portugal, a 6 million-eurocontract, in Morocco, where it expects to collect around 12 milliondollars and in India. Prospecţiuni currently has eight work teams,three of which will be used for the company's externaloperations.
