Florin Luca (photo), HR manager of BRD-Societe Generale, the second largest bank on the market in terms of assets, will take over the position of deputy HR manager in international retail banking at the French group. From this position, Luca will coordinate the group's global retail HR operations in 37 countries, and over 50,000 employees on the European, Asian and African markets. Luca now has a three-year term in office before him, and will work at the group's head office in Paris. "I view my appointment to this position as a professional challenge, and, at the same time, as a recognition of the results I have had with my BRD human resou rces team," Luca told ZF. Florin Luca (37) has, for over four and a half years, worked as HR manager with BRD-Societe Generale, handling HR activities involving the bank's over 8,600 employees on the local market. Luca has been at the helm of the largest recruitment campaign in local banking, with the French having hired over 6,000 people over the last four years. The new HR manager for the local market is Adela Jansen, previously general-secretary of the bank, a position Luca had also filled prior to his appointment as HR manager. More and more Romanians are taking over regional or global banking positions. At the beginning of this year, Mihaela Bitu (37), executive manager of the wholesale banking department with ING Romania, was appointed regional head of general lending for Central and Eastern European products, at ING Bank in Holland, a position from which she will coordinate the bank's lending teams in ten countries.
