Stock Exchange investors have a few more days left to buy sharesin order to receive dividends disbursed by listed companies fromprofits made in 2010.

Today is the last day when investors can still buy shares ofrailway equipment producer VAE Apcarom Buzău (APC) in order to getthe record-high dividend of 0.22 lei/share. At yesterday's price of1.2 lei/share, the gross dividend yield is 18%. Today is also thelast day for obtaining dividends from BAT Mediaş (BAME), whichoffers a yield of nearly 12%.

At SIF Moldova (SIF2 - financial investment company), the lastday for dividends is Thursday, May 5th. Each SIF2 share yields agross dividend of 0.09 lei until then, i.e. 6.35% of the 1.41-leiprice.

At Petrom, Fondul Proprietatea (Property Fund) and the otherSIFs, investors have around a week left to buy the dividend-earningshares.

Investors, however, must keep in mind that after the dividenddate, share prices tend to undergo corrections on the market, withprices to potentially approach the value of the dividend yield. Inother words, what investors would gain in dividends by buyingshares on these days, they would lose because of the pricecorrection.
