The Iulius Group, run by the businessman from Iasi, Iulian Dascalu (photo), will invest 100 million euros in the building of a shopping complex in Suceava. Dascalu has recently acquired 13 hectares of land with the buildings on them that belonged to the chemical plant Famos from Suceava during a public tender. The businessman paid more than 3 million euros and intends to invest a further 100 million to transform the entire area. "This is a bigger two-phase project. We will begin with a mall, but it will be more than that. We intend to capitalise on the entire amount of land available," Stela Fodor, chief executive of the Iulius Group stated. She added the mall in Suceava would include a supermarket, restaurants, shopping galleries, leisure space and playgrounds. Next to it, Iulius Group will develop a large car park. "We still don't have the exact image of what we are going to build. The architects will have the final say in that, identifying the areas that can be built on and suggesting solutions. There will be green spots by the mall, as well as buildings used for other purposes. We will have the complete blueprints by the end of the year, " Fodor specified. The mall in Suceava will be the fourth built by Iulian Dascalu after those in Iasi, Timisoara and Cluj, the last of which is still under construction. The mall in Cluj will be the biggest project developed by the Iulius Group, with a total surface area of approximately 92,000 square metres.
