The RASDAQ brokers'' ranking goes through significant changes every month, depending on the large transactions handled.

It was Broker Cluj''s turn to take the top position in July''s ranking of the financial investment service companies on RASDAQ, due to a volume of more than 7.1 million RON (some 2 million euros) in transactions and a market share of 13.3%. It got this position thanks to the transaction involving its Comvex stake.

Broker sold a stake in harbour operator Comvex Constanta early last month, which helped it finish eighth in June and first in July. The deal, worth 4 million RON (1.1 million euros) was the most significant on RASDAQ and involved 4.4% in Comvex. This stake was one of the largest Broker had. SSIF Broker Cluj is the most capitalised broker on the market, having made money from the rise in the quotes of the stocks held and not only from the fees charged for trading on behalf of various clients.

The market in July registered a lower liquidity than in June, with the total transactions conducted amounting some 35 million RON (9.86 million euros) from the 16.8 million euros in June. Broker came out third in the seven-month ranking, due to a 73.6 million RON (20 million euro) volume of transactions, and an 8.38% market share.

Second leading broker in July was ING Baring Securities (Romania) that brokered a total of 5.6 million RON (1.57 million euros) in transactions. It ranked seventh at the end of July, if looking at its market share since the beginning of the year, 4.36%.

Confident Invest climbed to third place from 25th in July, thanks to a nearly 4.4 million RON (1.2 million euro) volume of transactions (8.11% market share). It ranked 15th after the first seven months. Carpatica Invest was fourth, with 3.86 million RON (1.08 million euro) and 7.22% of the market last month, whilst Vanguard handled 3.315 million RON or 930,000 euros in transactions, which accounted for a 6.2% market share.

Active International came out sixth, thanks to its 3.02 million RON (847,000 euros) in transactions (5.64% market share).

HTI Valori Mobiliare remained the top brokerage firm seven months into year, with 92.5 million RON (nearly 26 million euros) in transactions. Its market share went down slightly to 10.53% compared with the first half, when it stood at 11%.
