Drug retail and distribution group A&D Pharma, one of the most important players on the market, on Tuesday announced it registered a 72% increase in turnover in the first half of this year, to 79 million euros. The increase was almost identical for both units of the group. Thus, Mediplus distribution unit in the first half logged sales worth 57 million euros, almost 72% higher as compared to the corresponding period of last year, according to representatives of A&D Pharma. At the same time, the Sensiblu drug store network posted a 73% increase, to 22 million euros. Dragos Dinu, A&D Pharma general manager, says the increased sales are due to investment plans and the trade strategy in the case of both divisions. "We have kept investing in local development. We have expanded, trying to be present countrywide, and we have sealed partnerships with important players on the pharmaceutical market," Dinu states. For this year, Mediplus has an investment programme worth 5 million euros. ZF
