The Logans made by Dacia in Pitesti, the telephones manufacturedby Nokia in Jucu (Cluj) and the fuels produced in Petromidiarefinery in Navodari are the best-selling products abroad, whichare manufactured on the local market, according to the top 20exporters' ranking put together by the National Exporters andImporters Association (ANEIR) for January-April 2010. In the firstfour months of the year exports stood at 10.8 billion euros, 23.5%more than in the similar period of last year, with the top 100exporters accounting for more than half the amount. Only four ofthe exporters are either state-held or held by Romanianentrepreneurs - Hidroelectrica, Oltchim, Interagro, and CompaSibiu.

"We have noticed many changes in this period. Traditionalindustries, such as the petroleum and the metallurgical industrywere replaced by companies such as Nokia and by car partmanufacturers. For the first time the top 100 exporters includedpharmaceutical companies. Shipyards are doing well," says MihaiIonescu, secretary general of ANEIR.
