No more position for MPs

14.02.2003, 00:00 12

The Government yesterday decided that MPs can no longer be members of company Boards (CA) or General Assemblies of Shareholders (AGA), irrespective of the companies' capital, said the Executive spokesperson Claudiu Lucaci. "A senator or a deputy cannot be part of the executive system of a trading company, irrespective of its capital. This is a decision setting a general framework, a principle that will be clearly regulated in the anti-corruption set of laws," Lucaci explained. The incompatibility between the MP mandate and the position of a CA or AGA member will be stipulated in the anti-corruption set of laws for which the Government will assume responsibility in Parliament.
