Bucharest's Ramada Nord hotel will expand its accommodation capacity by 106 rooms, in the wake of an around 2 million-euro investment, with the new rooms to become available in the autumn. The hotel currently has 134 rooms and 9 conference halls. "We have an area near the hotel, and have decided to build an extension, which will include 106, four-star rated rooms," said Virgil Calina, the hotel's owner. He said works started last autumn and will be completed in September. The investment is estimated to be worth around two million euros. "The hotel had an over 60% occupancy rate last year, that is why we decided it was a good thing to expand" added Calina.
