American producer Procter & Gamble will early next month start construction of a plant that will produce shampoos and other hair care products in Urlati (Prahova county). Previously, P&G officials had announced that works on the new production facility would kick off this spring. The company will intensify the recruitment process for the Urlati plant in March, with 300-350 staff to be hired by 2010. "The jobs for which we have hired staff so far require expertise, and cover areas such as planning and strategy development. 'Mass' recruitment will start in March 2009," said representatives of P&G Romania. This is P&G's first greenfield project in Romania, with production in the new facility to start in 2010. The company has announced overall investments worth 100 million dollars in Urlati. 2010 will see only the first stage of this project completed, a project that targets the Romanian market, and that could entail investments worth over 40 million euros.
