Petrom LPG head takes reins of ButanGas

Gabriel Stoicescu, the former general manager of Petrom LPG, theliquefied petroleum gas distribution arm of Petrom, the biggestdomestic company, on December 1 became the general manager ofButanGas Romania, replacing Florin Preda.


ButanGas Romania is a major player on the LPG distributionmarket, having also recently entered the field of electricitygeneration from renewable sources by taking over a 25 MW wind farmfrom Romconstruct Top, initially held by Romanian-born Swedishbusinessman Emanuel Muntmark.
Stoicescu could not be contacted by edition close for additionaldetails regarding his departure from Petrom LPG, and Petromrepresentatives did not communicate the name of the person set toreplace him.
Before joining Petrom team in the LPG field, Stoicescu was thegeneral manager of Shell Gas Romania, a company the oil and gasproducer took over in 2007 in the wake of a 51m-euro deal.
