SNP Petrom has set up commands to manage the possible events that may occur in case of a war against Iraq. The commands were set up both centrally and for every single one of its branches in Romania and abroad. The commands decide on how to manage the potential risk sources, their effects and the actions taken in view of prevention, protection and intervention to contain and eliminate the consequences of the disasters, Petrom says. The company management has decided to practice the evacuation plan for the oilrigs in the Persian Gulf area, which operate in the international waters of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Demobilisation is also an option, depending on the orders of Petrom's executives and the contractual provisions. The demobilisation may be either partial, with the oilrigs left only with a skeleton crew or full, with the entire personnel evacuated and the rig moved to another, previously set location. ZF
