The eRomania project and the coordination of IT projects inpublic institutions must be the priorities of the newcommunications minister, say a series of politicians andentrepreneurs contacted by ZF.
They warn, however, that Valerian Vreme needs the support of thepresident and prime minister to be able to really change somethingabout the state's IT investments.
"The new minister needs to set up a commission subordinated to theCommunications Ministry, which should synchronise and analyse ITprojects in any minister," Liviu Drăgan, head of the Software andServices Industry Employers' Association (ANIS), told ZF.
Varujan Pambuccian, a colleague of Vreme in the Chamber ofDeputies' IT&C Committee, believes that the eRomania projecthas to be the new minister's utmost priority.
As for the Romanian Post Office and Societatea Naţională deRadiocomunicaţii (National Radio-communications Company-SNR), thestate has to privatise them, Pambuccian feels.
