17.03.2010, 19:40 9

The eRomania portal, aimed at simplifying the interaction of thebusiness world and of citizens with state institutions by creatingup to 600 online public services by 2013, is a controversial one, with the amount allocated for it, almost half a billion euros, considered to be too high.

"The amount may not be efficiently spent: The state is not sucha good manager," Calin Fusu, general manager of Neogen, the companythat owns the most visited Internet portal in Romania. He addedthat the amount allocated seemed to be rather high, consideringthat a website does not cost more than 1 million euros. "I think itwill cost more to oversee the institutions involved in thechange."

In turn, Sergiu Biris, general manager of Trilulilu, theRomanian video sharing website, says that "considering the problemsfacing the country - the lack of money for paying salaries, allocating such an amount may not be a good move. "This is not abad idea, but I am sceptical about the success of the project," headded.
