The top ten law firms that yesterday sent to ZF copies of theirtax returns submitted to the fiscal authorities collected fees witha cumulated value of 86 million euros in 2010, down 5% on thepreceding year.
These firms have over 500 lawyers and account for over 40% ofannual revenues recorded on the market of business legalconsulting, having most big companies in Romania as their clients,from Orange and Vodafone to Petrom and Rompetrol.
Six of the ten firms had lower revenues than in 2009, but that didnot change the ranking of the top five law firms, which consists oflocal firms Ţuca Zbârcea & Asociaţii, NNDKP, Muşat &Asociaţii, Boştină şi Asociaţii and Popovici Niţu &Asociaţii.
Lawyers expect to return to growth this year, amid an economicrebound and as a result of the large number of lawsuits inprogress.
