RASDAQ will suspend another 101 companies from trading as of this week, due to their failure to meet one or more listing criteria. The number of companies suspended from RASDAQ in view of delisting over the last 12 months has reached 1,887 and the process goes on. The delisting of the companies not meeting the minimal criteria to be present on a regulated stock market (a contract with an authorised independent shareholders' registry, a minimal number of shareholders etc.) or under liquidation is part of a more extensive restructuring programme of RASDAQ started two years ago. The number of companies listed on RASDAQ was well over 4,500 in 2001, yet only several hundred of them were trading at least once a month.
