In 1848, when the European financial lending system was incollapse, cholera was wreaking havoc, crops were destroyed and theurban proletarians were demanding their rights, Karl Marx launcheda phrase in the Manifesto of the Communist Party that went on tobecome one of the most famous slogans of the world: "Proletariansof all countries, unite!" One hundred and sixty two years later,this slogan should be adjusted to the Romanian realities, but seton the other side of the barricade: "Romanian capitalists,regardless of whether you are big or small entrepreneurs, managersof companies or Romanian shareholders or CEOs of multinationals,unite!" These are hard times, but you have to hang in there, tosurvive, you must not abandon your businesses, your brands, youremployees, everything you have built, because you can no longertake it financially and mentally, because you have grown tired offighting the market decline, the lack of customers, the lack ofcash, the banks raising your interest rates when they should cutthem, those that owe money to you, but also those you owe money to,the employees whose salaries you have to cut or whom you even haveto fire, the state, which instead of cutting your taxes raises themor the politicians and the public servants who ask you for 'money"because you can afford to give it.

However, now, more than ever, the business sector has to uniteto no longer allow the Government to reach that position where toraise taxes, to come to the private sector to collect money as thestate apparatus cannot be restructured on time because there havebeen either parliamentary or presidential elections.
Romanian capitalists, unite! You have to hang in there throughthis difficult time. Do not let businesses collapse, although youfeel you cannot muster the energy to navigate this period.
