Sebes-based Savini Due, a producer of bathroom furniture, estimates an approximately 12 million-euro turnover this year, which would lead to a 37.5% increase in financial indicators against 2006.
"The positive financial indicators are a result of the significant development witnessed lately by the construction industry. According to our estimates, the trend will continue into the next few years, as well. We also believe our market will see a major shift in demand, with many companies moving from the production of low-price and luxury furniture, to the manufacturing of an intermediate product which would satisfy the demands of a middle-class customer," Piersante Savini, administrator of Savini Due, told ZF Transilvania.
In 2006, the company invested around 1 million euros in order to expand its production facility by 3,000 sqm to an area of 12,000 sqm.
For 2007, investments target the acquisition of new equipment, which will improve the producer's technological processes.
The company produces a range of over 500 bathroom furniture products including bathroom cabinets, various types of mirrors and furniture accessories, which the firm distributes through the Romstal, Casa Ambient, Bricostore, Mobexpert, and Dedeman stores, as well as through other specialised stores throughout Romania. The company's main suppliers are Kronospan, Sirca Italia, Marmosim, and Ecopack, whilst the company has over 200 active customers. Savini Due's foreign business partners are all from EU member countries.
"The EU accession is positive for the evolution of the furniture market. It has allowed us to facilitate the export and import of goods, and given the domestic economy a more European appearance," believes Savini.
Savini Due was created at the end of 2003, with its core activity being the manufacturing of various types of furniture.
