Severnav negotiates 125m euro deal

19.03.2004, 00:00 4

The shipyard in Drobeta Turnu-Severin, Severnav, could sell to the Indonesian State four ships worth 125 million euros, Prime Minister Adrian Nastase announced in Drobeta Turnu-Severin on Wednesday. He explained this contract would allow the yard to do well over the next few years. He added, as quoted by Mediafax, that the most important solution to modernise Severnav was the completion of the privatisation process. During the economic mission to Indonesia organised on the occasion of President Ion Iliescu's visit in February, Severnav presented the Indonesian State a technical and commercial offer worth 125 million euros. Severnav currently has 42 million euros' worth in contracts concluded with foreign partners that should be filled by 2004-2006. ZF
