Software applications developer Siveco Romania plans to hire 250 software specialists by yearend, as a result of the development of their international business.
"Siveco is a young and dynamic team and we are interested to have young graduates among the 250 new software specialists," stated Irina Socol, general manager of Siveco Romania.
Siveco is looking to increase the number of employees by approximately 50% from the current number of 500, to 750. Recruitment will be handled by specialised agencies and by the company itself. Software specialists currently account for approximately 80% of the Siveco team, with the remaining 20% being administrative personnel, says Anca Crahmaliuc, Siveco marketing manager.
"We are primarily interested in experienced specialists, both in programming and in project management and business analysis, for such positions as Senior Oracle Programmer and Senior Java Programmer, Senior Project Manager and Senior Business Analyst," stated Daniela Bichir, human resources manager of the company. Siveco Romania constantly invests in staff training, allocating a percentage of its budget to the betterment of its employees. For instance, approximately 250 Siveco employees attended training outside of the company in the first six months alone.
Siverco provides various subjects of training, with each employee getting access to classes related to his or her individual career plan. Subjects include programming, project management, sales, quality assurance, soft skills (presentation, negotiation and customer care skills) development and there are also MBA courses.
"We feel employees are the most important asset of the company, which is why we constantly invest in improving their competencies and provide the best conditions for them to develop in the direction they choose," Irina Socol stated.
"The average salary of a programmer starts from 300-400 euros and goes to approximately 600 to 800 euros after two years of experience. Depending on their specialty and the calibre of their work, salaries can easily exceed 1,000 euros a month," believes Ana Ionescu, consultant with Pluri Consultants Romania.
Siveco Romania posted a 37.6 million dollar (29.4 million euro) turnover in 2005, 66% of which was derived from domestic clients and the rest from foreign companies. It has budgeted a 20% increase in turnover for 2006 to more than 45 million dollars (35.2 million euros).
