Three more restaurant managers in McDonald's network are on the "waiting list" for becoming franchisees of the American company, after the manager of the restaurant in Brasov is to become the first franchisee this fall. The three restaurants are located in Constanta, Arad and Craiova and the company representatives say the actual franchise granting will depend on "the smooth running of the economy." "Approximately 70% of the McDonald's restaurants worldwide are franchised. We believe we'll see most of the business carried out this way in Romania, as well, in a matter of years," the general manager for Romania, Moldova and Bulgaria Marian Alecu said. Until such time comes, the first restaurant to move to the full franchising system this fall is a McDrive from Brasov, run by 39-year old Adrian Danes. McDonald's is currently operating 48 restaurants in Romania. The other three people slated for franchisee are the managers of the restaurants in the above-mentioned cities. ZF
