Total Bourse wealth, including listed stock, bonds and the othersecurities registered with the Central Depository, in 2010 climbedfrom 73.8bn RON (17.3bn euros) to 80.28bn RON (18.8bn euros), inline with data the Central Depository published yesterday.
The data are in line with the 2010 trend of the BSE, whosecapitalisation rose by around 9.4%, or around 4.8bn RON (1.12bneuros).
Another statistical report, published by the Investor CompensationFund (FCI) at the end of last week, shows the overall value ofportfolios held by investors with brokerages and domestic banks(members of the fund) last year went up from 11.5bn TON (2.7bneuros) to 16.8bn RON (3.94bn euros).
Thus, the total wealth of active investors has outpaced the totalBourse wealth (46% against 8.5%) over the passed year, a situationfor which brokers do not have a clear explanation.
One factor behind the more quickly rising value of portfolios islikely to be domestic investors' carrying out bigger investments onforeign markets, through online platforms. Most of theseinvestments are not registered with the Central Depository.
