UniCredit, Banca Romaneasca, and Bancpost are the Romania-basedbanks that granted the most loans to develop big real estateprojects on the market, either on their own, in conjunction withparent banks, or as part of bank syndicates, reveals a ZF analysisthat considered financial data of the top 50 biggest commercial,residential, and office projects in Romania. The 50 projectsanalysed entailed loans worth a cumulated 3.5 billion euros,equivalent to 15% of the volume of loans granted to localcompanies.
UniCredit has provided funding with a cumulated value of 730million euros, for projects that include Baneasa Shopping City,City Mall, Grand Arena, and Arena Bacau, as well as residentialcomplexes such as Residenz and New Town.
