Upbeat plans for Siemens: another 250 employees in two years and 10% higher turnover

Germany's Siemens industrial group says that according to thedevelopment plans it has for Romania, it will likely hire as manyas 250 people in the next two years, expecting turnover to go up byat least 10%.

The positive forecasts come as Siemens representatives expect awider portfolio of works in fields such as infrastructure,renewable energy or environment protection.

"Development plans for the next two years entail our hiringanother 50-250 people in Romanian production facilities. The first50 employees will be added to the production facility we have inBuzias and the rest depend on the materialization of plans relatedto domestic production capacity expansion," said Cristian Secosan,general manager of Siemens.

Early this year, the company's representative stated Siemensmulled expanding the production capacities it held domestically, asexport of equipment manufactured in Romania was the only segment ofthe German's business that grew in 2010.
