The nearly 1.5 million drivers who renew their auto liabilityinsurance (RCA) in December-January can get their premiums cut byup to 25% or can pay in instalments. Between 30 and 40% of autoliability insurance policies expire during this period.
Auto liability policies are an over 500 million-euro market,accounting for a third of the general insurance market. The valueof a policy for a 1,600 cc car owned by a driver over 30 startsfrom around 450 RON and can exceed 600 RON, according to datasupplied to ZF by insurance companies.
During the winter campaign, Generali offers an up to 25% discounton the standard price for drivers with underage children, whileAllianz gives a 15% discount to all individual clients. Uniqaoffers a 15% discount only to clients who also buy a mandatory homeinsurance policy.
In parallel, holders of BCR credit cards can pay the auto liabilityinsurance issued by BCR Asigur`ri in six interest-free instalments.Uniqa also accepts payment of the policy in six equal interest-freeinstalments, but through credit cards issued by RaiffeisenBank.
