Spanish retailer Inditex, owner of the Zara brand, has made a 17.5 million-RON (4.8 million-euro) capital increase to three of its companies in Romania- Pull and Bear, Stradivarius, and Bershka, according to data published in the Official Gazette. "We can confirm that we plan to open stores in Bucharest and Timisoara in the second half of the year," said Inditex representatives. The group is present with several retail brands on the local market, Zara, Stradivarius, Oysho, Bershka, and Pull and Bear. In April, when the Baneasa Shopping City in Bucharest opened, Inditex also launched two other brands, Massimo Dutti and Zara Home, which it intends to introduce in other shopping centres. The first Inditex brands launched in Romania were Pull and Bear, and Zara, after the first stores opened via a franchise agreement with Azadea Group.
